If you *have* to get one now, the ignore the 1660 line, its value is trash unless you are direct upgrading from the 1060 *only* LTT backs me on this.
The 2060 is *ok* if you can get it at a *good* price, but sadly it is often priced near the Vega 56 or even 64 range, both of which beat the 2060 in non-RTX loads...
If you are thinking lower end look at the RX580 line which offers a much better value proposition for the money spent.
RTX 2060 faster than Vega 56, GTX 1660 Ti slightly slower. All of them are better than RX 590.

With that said we need to know the rigs full specs with OPs budget to actually give a good answer. OP could be running a FX CPU for all we know.
Even the RX 470 ($130 ($150 w/ $20 MIR)[www.newegg.com]) will give you a substantial performance increase[gpu.userbenchmark.com] over 3x at least...
If you have that low end gpu, a 1650 with no external power req. would be a great upgrade.
The best price/performance currently are the ones suggested by vadim in answer #8. You can afford some better one - buy a better one.
