Games I paid for are now free. WTF?!
Is there a way to get partial credit for these purchases? I paid for The Orange Box on launch day, pre-ordered CS:GO, and purchased H1Z1, and now they're all free. How do I get in contact with Steam Support?

I paid for Portal TWICE, happily, once on its own and again in the Orange Box.

I would happily pay for it AGAIN too. Heck I think I did - I know I purchased it as a gift for at least two people over the years.

Get over yourself, indeed.

I've purchased several of my favourites over the years multiple times as well... good developing should be rewarded and I can certainly think of worst ways to spend the money... last time that I took 3 of us to the movies and purchased some snacks while there it cost more than a AAA title does on launch day... and that was for only 2 hours of entertainment...

I know the term "entitled whiners" has been overused but it's still the best description to classify this "demographic" (for lack of a better word) of gamers... support good developing... gamers are rewarded too in the long run for more resources are budgeted to future titles by the publishers... I bought 'Gotham City Impostors' on the 360 & 'Games For Windows LIVE' before it went Free-To-Play on Steam... no regrets there for I STILL play it regularly... it rivals 'Team Fortress 2' for best Multiplayer Game Ever, in my opinion... another game which I'd purchased on the 360 from 'The Orange Box' before it went Free-To-Play with no regrets...:-)
Well, as for good games that are now free - Marathon trilogy. Was one of my favorite fps games when I was younger, actually about the only fps games I ever really liked. Used to own the Marathon trilogy box set for my mac when I was a teen. (https://alephone.lhowon.org/)

How is that "most?"

And the Nintendo link shows me free trials and games that have always been free 2 play.

Yes, please link more sites.

As I said Nintendo switch service gives you access to many classics for free. There are also various other deals to be had if you own a device,
Most might be an overstatement sure, but alot (just like alot of those mmo's and old games you saw me link) are free.

You also have various pc platforms offering games for free if you are a member and yes its legal. Not that I like it, but services such as Origin even provide det (again not that I like it)
Steam also sometimes have games go free.

So, I have to own the Switch to get the "Free games." That isn't free.

Where on any of the platforms you listed can you get free Nintendo games as you stated here...

Well not only that, you have to pay for the online subscription service in addition to owning the Switch. I have a Switch and the service and have those games, it's nice, but it's not free. I am paying for the service and those games are part of the service I am paying for. And if I stop paying for the service I lose access to those NES games (I believe).

And even then we're talking about like 25 NES games at the moment, out of a library of 700+ games in the NES library. It's still not most, no matter how you want to interpret or torture the definition of "free".

So, the same as PS+. Yeah. That isn't free.
>Orange Box
yeah, you get a cool special hat in TF2 for that, the rest of the games in the bundle arent free.
>CS:GO
you get a prime account and sweet memories of this game actually being good.
>H1Z1
I have no idea, it's not a Valve game, so they arent responsible and you probably should've known better than buying another early access sand box zombie survival game
Team Fortress 2 going F2P was the greatest thing ever. Now the server browser or at least last I checked is full of trading and all manner of crap that keeps spreading and growing. Kind of like Cancer.
Just something to hates for huh
