Can I download Steam Games to a USB and install them when I get home?
I have terribly slow internet at my home. I have great internet at my parents house. Is it possible to download my games to a USB at my parents house and bring them home and install them on my home computer?

The computer is large and I can't carry it to my parents house.
I have read about installing steam to a USB, but this doesn't seem practical when playing the games from a slower USB device when I get home.

Any ideas? :steamhappy:

Move both game folder and it's appmanifest.acf file to USB.
Then on your PC exit Steam, move folder and acf file to your PC and launch Steam.

I wouldn't say they expire, but keep them updated. I stupidly thought steam backups were good forever, and found out I was wrong when I went to restore them. Thankfully I had good internet at the time.

I mean NOW, when steam updates every time I start my computer, it's not much of a surprise. But at the time? Severely unwelcome surprise.
