retrieve a conversation on steam

i was playing rust with some ppl but one of them told me he is cheating so i unfriended them and closed the chat window.
Is it possible to get that conversation as proof that he is cheating?

Has all your chat logs from i think the last 30 days or so.

PS: Its sorted by friends so you need to load more till you get to the user you want.
Will show all the logs from the last person you talked with, then the person before that and so on.

Though I don't own the game, a quick search on Google says that it should be possible to report by using the F7 menu in-game. I would suggest trying that first.. if it does not work, you can report them via their Steam profile.

Not sure the Rust devs will care about the logs as such things can be tampered with. If they want it, they will likely say so.

Just don't post this individuals name or those logs on the forums, as Steam takes a dim view of name-and-shame.

its only showing the last conversation...and its some guy i suspect is a scammer working with a webiste...oferring me daily wins on some roulette...how can i access other chats?

Just scroll down and choose " Load more". Like is said it will go through all the people you chatted with the last 30 days, one by one.

This also only works if you chatted over the Steam chat, there is no way to recover ingame chat logs from games that have their own chat.

Well in this case your only way would be to contact the developer of RUST.
If they will do anything is another thing entirely, just because someone says he cheats does not mean he really does.
But i dont know how the RUST developers handle cases like this.

Honestly, i would just forget about it. You already deleted him from your friend list and if he is really cheating he will be caught sooner or later by the anti cheat system in place.
