Steam link on android x86

I wiped an old laptop and installed android x86 on it.


Steam link crashes right after it opens.

I guess my question is do you think it is android x86 related or could it be that laptop is too old? Laptop is roughly 6 years old.

I want a tablet for my living room to stream and there are plenty of cheap android tablet alternatives. Or for something larger there are a lot of super cheap old touch pcs I can buy and put android x86 on it instead. But I don't want to go that route if x86 is the issue.
