Tell him to log out. Right click on the Steam.exe in the folder and disable DPI scaling in the Compatibilty tab. Log back in.
Thanks for the info.
I would fix it for him but he doesn't like anyone messing with it (even though it's one of my old computers that he's using so I know everything about it). It wouldn't run DayZ properly at 4k anyway, it's only an i7-920 with a single GTX 780. Bog city.
What is it that needs fixed? Since you've established the missing setting.
If it Chat text then those fonts can be made larger in Steam Chat Settings.
If its in game check the forums of the game for any font increase info.
Or if its for Windows Desktop and everything within then just bump up the the fonts in this > Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display. Or Custom DPI.
Unless they are maxed? Dunno. You didn't explain much other than.
unfortunately, disable DPI scaling in the "Compatibilty tab" is not work for me.
It really annoying and made bad feeling about finding games on the list.
