Screenshot Showcase Broken?

Seems the screenshot showcases have had their vertical sizes modified which leaves a big gap at the bottom which is particularly noticeable on ultrawide shots. Hope this is just a bug rather than the start of some upcoming change. Usually the borders adjust to the screenshot size itself rather than be fixed.

The huge vertical spacing between the screenshot and the showcase boarder is even showing on mobile for me.

Have to agree with you all, now that I checked my profile it's as if the profile background image is a rectangle and the Steam client has changed the height.
Different wallpaper now appear at half length stops in the center.
Are we supposed to adjust the dimensions of our profile backgrounds?
Or ask the authors to modify it
I've seen things like over the years as more and more Internet of Things get modified and the support is mainly for small screens, mobile devices and tablets.
One discussion came up today and I wonder if its related.
Has there been a minor change in client design today?

mine always looked like that, it changes for me depending on how wide or narrow the screenshots are?

Usually the boarders scale depending on the screenshot resolution size but this update/error has removed the scaling and given us a fixed border size so gaps can be seen which is very noticeable on ultrawide shots. Also the fixed border size seems greater than the scaling one on standard 1920x1080 ones. Users with 32:9 shots could practically fit 2 screenshots into their main showcase if this was possible due to the space available.

It appears to be set up for 4:3 resolutions. My 1024x768 screenshots are fitting just as fine into the box as before. For widescreen formats it is clearly an issue though.

It seems to fill out correctly when there is no showcases.
Anyone with a couple if showcase will get this now.
I'm using 1920 x 1080
I'm not changing the resolution.
