Level Downgrade
Hey, I just want to know if there is any option to lower your steam level or delete levels cause I was level 30 and someway I leveled up but I prefer to be level 30. Is there any way or something?

Make a new account and level it up to 30 again

There should be a craftable badge that ppl can use to reduce XP, delevel etc. It would be in surprisingly high demand I bet.

there should be an option that you could choose every level you passed through

Just curious, why would you want to level down?

cause i prefer 30 than 31

It's not currently possible to do that.
But I'd like if leveling up profile would unlock number, color and shape.
Let's say you're level 42.
Instead of having green circle around 42, you could choose any number between 0 and 42 and any color you unlocked (grey, red, orange, yellow, green)
Or if you're level 115, you could choose any number between 0 and 115, circle in any color or hexagon in grey/red color.

I stopped at 64 because I like that number. But because I bought a lot of games in meantime, I accidentally leveled up to 65. I meant to save up enough cards to get to 128 and stop there. But accidently leveling up to 65 screwed me so I used all remaining cards and now I'm stuck at level 95 with ugly color.
I really wish I could show number 64 and blue circle (instead of purple that you get at lvl 60)
And even when I get to lvl 128, that orange color is meh:lunar2019scowlingpig:
Yeah thats exactly what I mean Thanks Eldin and Thanks to the others who answered

No thats not possible. Even if you deliberately lose exp you dont delevel.
I saw this myself when i cleaned out my library from all the bundle trash games and stuff i will never play.
Did go from 3350 games down to 830 which means i "lost" 2500+ exp. (you get 1 per game)
But instead of losing level the exp lost just get added to the next level up requirement.

there really should be. I wish I could be level 0 because steam levels are cringe but it's too late now

Sorry to say, you're in a pretty small minority who's wanting that feature. After all it's Steam Level, not Steam Favorite Number Within The Range You've Already Leveled.

The entire point of leveling up is so you can have more friends and stuff on Steam.
If it's about the layout your level is shown with, maybe Valve could add a way of toggling the layout the level is shown on.

All I need is an option to choose the color for the circle from the available unlocked ones cause lvl 80+ sucks with dark red color.

Love the idea, my account has been level 69 for a while, in 2 years I'll get a badge automatically that will push my XP to level 70..

Or If I add 12 more games to my steam account, I'll be level 70.

Or If i get engaged too much in community events stuff ( Halloweens, Sales, Christmas etc) I'll get to 70.. :(
