Not really. The level 2 badge already gave me 400xp.

Not really. The level 2 badge already gave me 400xp.

Clearly they've got their information wrong, or it's changed since. I can see with your Profile, that you have indeed 400 XP for a Level 2 badge - thanks for correcting that mistake. It's unusual for Steam Card Exchange to get things wrong - perhaps it was correct at the time of publication?

It's still a serious amount of cash to get a L10 badge though and the XP awarded still remains horribly low considering.

I got 4000 tokens for free from my envelope.
So for the LVL 10 badge I need 25000 (29000 - 4000) more tokens. Let's do the math:

The FAQ says that in my country they give me 121 tokens per 1€ spent (133 tokens per € if I purchase gifts)

25000 / 121 = 206,6115702479339

I need to spend 206,62€ worth of games for myself, or 187,97€ as gifts

It would be nice if we could obtain more tokens from the market, or using the gems you can use to craft booster packs. Or with the "discovery list" (IDK how it's called in english) like on regular sales when they give us 3 cards per day

Interestingly, my level 1 badge was worth 25 XP yesterday, but appears to be worth 200 today.

Reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaly not worth it tho. Do you know how much XP you can craft with badges if you were to buy 200 dollars worth of cards? A LOT! And I mean A LOT!

No Sir. When you spend 200 dollars you do it for the badge. You or anyone else for that matter, do not have time to play all those games until next sale hits the store in which case it invalidates the whole reason of buying 50 games in the first place.

See the witcher 3 or borderlands 2 ..those games played to completion take months. And that's just 2 games. And if you are saying that you buy 50+ games (and I'm being generous here, you can buy a lot more than 50 games with the amount needed for that badge level) just to hop from one to the other (which still doesn't make sense cause if you had time to play them all you wouldn't have the money - need job to make money in the first place and that means you get ONLY one fourth of the day to yourself for 5 days a week) then what's the point of spending 200+ on the games if not for THE BADGE itself!!

Or there's a third option. You're rich anyways and you just want to brag with your profile. IN WHICH CASE YOU STILL SPEND ALL THAT MONEY JUST FOR THE BADGE!!

The badge is NOT FREE. So stop spamming this "it's free" nonsense on every post you get your hands on because 1. It's NOT FREE and you have to spend a ton of money to get it, and 2. It doesn't make you special since it's just temporary cosmetic.
