So, 1 game huh?
Ask in their forum as to why they restricted the game.
Well we know why ... because Im travelling right now what I want to know can I fix my problem.
As I just heard that using VPN might get you banned. that would easily fix my problem but hey.
dont you have any idea on how should I play my legaly owned game that I payed real money for but cant play while people who pirate games can play their anywhen and where?
Just to be sure you get banned for using vpn or general or only when using vpn to buy a games.
Using one to bypass the region restriction on said game is against the rules, yes.
Section 3-A...
https://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/
so if I use one for germany that should be ok if Im not wrong as Im not bypassing any of the steam agreement https://www.reddit.com/r/Steam/comments/7bfo6y/did_anyone_ever_get_in_trouble_using_a_vpn_for/
Am I right?
Valve can lock and/or terminate accounts violating the Steam Subscriber Agreement at any time.
And yes, using a VPN to get around the restriction on the game since you are not physically in Germany can lead to Valve taking action.
And read it again... "whether to circumvent geographical restrictions on game content"
The publisher added a geo restriction for their game. Hence, it can only be played in the region where the game was purchased.
A region specific key the developer created, yes.
Yes.
