However, I think the Humble Bundle version of FTL also includes a browser-based version that might work on your Chromebook. That would mean having to buy the game again, but if you just bought FTL on Steam today and haven't played it for 2 hours yet you could claim a refund here, then buy the Humble Bundle version which also includes a Steam key.
1. Linux apps have limited/no audio support at this time in the ChromeOS VM.
2. ChromeOS does NOT have Accelerated Graphics support. any game that is expecting anything other than 2d framebuffers is going to run at around 2-3 FPS
3. the best Chromebooks ($1000+) peak at 128GB Storage and 8GB ram. my personal one (Samsung Plus V2) is 64GB storage and 4GB ram. installing linux support is roughly 1.8GB and the steam client is roughly 2GB. thats BEFORE you even get to the games.
