Youtube lagging in Overlay
I was playing youtube videos in HD fine until a couple of days ago but now if its set to 720p or 1080p then the video starts stuttering and lagging. Videos do play almost normally when they are at 480p or below.

I have tried deleting the cache and cookies for overlay already. What else can I do please help??

your right of course but I liked watching videos in between rounds in online games. Alt-tabing is a bigger bother plus chrome is a real hog when it comes to RAM

They must have updated the version the embeeded chromium browser they use for steam. I've seen this isue with alot browsers based on this.

As for Chrome being a memory hog, use Edge then, it's not as bad.

I'm glad I'm not the only one experiencing this issue. I also do not normally browse YT videos while gaming, but sometimes you want to check a video for help or clues about something and you use the in-game overlay to do just that, it's a very valid use of it.

I don't really understand why they don't use a Firefox based one instead of Chromium. ♥♥♥♥ Google.

Memory usage. Firefox, even stripped down uses alot more ram than Chrome, and Chromium uses even less. Sad thing is the edge uses even less than any of thoes. While Safari running on a Mac (not the PC version) uses even less.
