Pointless friends list changes

Why are my in-game friends now grouped by what game they're playing? That's literally just extra unnecessary information that I don't need. It's so much simpler to just separately display each game each person is playing rather than create categories and then write what game they're playing below it anyway??? And also, the 'Other Games' category? Really? You needed to make a completely separate category to inform me that these are what you refer to as 'Other Games'. Nice to see what you do with your time Valve

I find it kind of insulting as well. I was told that the beta actually allowed you to remove that sorting but... I'm not seeing it.

This. I had a perfectly sorted friends list, and now it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess because of the fact that Steam sorts games by friends.

Good thing that there's a way to fix it.

You need to create a shortcut of Steam. Then, when you press Properties and go to "Target", add -nofriendsui -nochatui to it. Then restart steam via the shortcut.
