Discount code for Trainz 2019

I received an email from the "Trainz Team" offering a 50% discount if I upgrade to Trainzz 2019. I own TrainZ A new Era on Steam, so logged on here, but Steam wants full price with no options to upgrade.
Looks like changing to Steam may have been an expensive move--or am I missing something?
