Steam video player volume control jumps to max when trying to skip forward in the video
I have been trying to find the right place to post this, but there's no section dedicated to it.

Anyway, repro steps. Please be aware that does not happen all the time. The latest I got it to happen is on one of the video on the Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of DANA store page.

This is happening on the Steam Client, Beta version on the Windows PC. I have seen this happening on the non-beta client as well.
Auto-play is enabled.
All my videos have the sound muted.

Click on the video and immediately pause it. Afterwards click somewhere on the progress bar of the video to skip forward. The video jumps to that point on the progress bar, and the volume is immediately turned to max.

This is extremely annoying, as some videos are very loud.

Finally someone else that finds this annoying. I had to mute the whole Steam Client on the system level. I have no idea why it's the way it is.

Still hasn't been fixed yet, I guess it doesn't bother the devs.

Bump. Can't be great for conversions jump scaring the customer out of the store page.

Has been like this for years and will most likely never be fixed. Steam client has multiple bugs that have just never been fixed. Ill try lowering the level on the volume mixer but I'm not sure if that saves or if I would have to do that every time I restart computer.
