Steam Exchange rate
I waited for Jedi:Fallen Order to come out for a while now. when it finally arrived on steam, i was mind boggled at the price.

This is a 60 dollar title, like most triple A games. but for me, it costs, 329 NIS (which translates into about 94 bucks!!!) since i live in Israel and cannot change the currency. Somehow they converted 60 dollars, into that amount. a quick google search places 60 dollars as 207 NIS at most.

I feel like Im being robbed, and i can't do a thing about it. How am i supposed to buy game with this atrocious exchange rate?

Anyone else having this issue in their country?

The developers set the regional price of their games on Steam, not Valve. You'll need to take this up with them.

EA is in charge. Exchange rates are irrelevant when it comes to regional prices.

Valve does suggest prices but big pubs like EA don't care

Dammit EA, just do your math correctly. This is absurd. how dare you charge 94 dollars for a 60 dollar title.

Just get the game on Origin Access. Shouldn't be more than $15 for a month, complete the 10 hour campaign, play any other games you want available from their store, cease your subscription and then save $75.

Another post that goes into a bit more detail with the video showing "suggested" prices when entering a price for 1 region...

Another where you can see that Activision doesn't follow "suggestions" either...

Or do as J4MESOX4D suggests... https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/origin-access

This comes up all of the time. Unfortunately the onus is on the developer to account for regional price differences. The Steam Store is the broker, not the seller, and thus has no say in pricing.

So you had to necro a thread to insult someone?

Nice going, NOT.
