Have you played 3, 4 or 1?
I played 2 for 5 years and hated 3 - how can you get the BF2 maps wrong by 'reimagining' them?, 4 isn't much better, never touched 1 and 5 isn't even a consideration.
As far as I am concerned online FPS have been dead for 10 years since they were consolised and nothing I have played has changed my mind.
Up to you, I think they are trash as they have been dumbed down since Bad Company, if you like any online FPS for the past 10 years you'll probably like 5.
Until the next one comes out and they abandon it for that.
You should know what you are buying as it is just cut and paste from the last one, you like that then fill your boots.

I'm glad i didn't buy it, i avoid any new games made with Frostbite3.
1942 = Great for Gaming Caffe Experiences my first FPS Game I enjoyed...
2142 = It was a nice try at Military FPS in the Space Age
Battlefield 3 = By far a great visually interesting Experience, Flight Deck in Story was amazing
Battlefield 4 = Maps Looked Stunning, & the New Subs / Carriers & Sky Scrapers are insane...
Battlefield 5 = Woman in War, Smaller War with i'm guessing a shorter story?
Bad Company 1 = Reminds me of 3 Kings Movie, Great story, & awesome online mode
Bad Company 2 = Unsure about Story, they lost me at Multiplayer, Snowy Maps nice
Battlefield 2 = Un-Interesting compared to BF3 & BF4, because it feels too generic at this point
Battlefield 1 = Was too complicated to Play in BETA without Scopes & such, but maybe in Actual Game it is better? The MAP's were too far Open, & any bit of travel would leave you with an
easy target on your head for Sniping, if you could even hit your target at all without scopes
Overall...
BF2 = Larger Maps, but Maps are not Innovative
Battlefield 4 = Sight moves around too much, & got distracting, & Game is not much improved
from BF3 in order to buy it...
Battlefield 5 = Don't know enough...
Battlefield 1 = I was refused a copy of the Game, so I don't know what Actual Game is like...
Bad Company 2 = Outside of Story, the Multiplayer was not as fun to enjoy as BC1 was...
Favorite Battlefield Games were...
1942 / 2142 = They got me into FPS Games, but they were good starters, nothing more...
Battlefield 3 = Had amazing Visuals, & first time flying in story mode felt amazing...
Bad Company 1 = Just overall enjoyed had fun, & loved both Story & Multiplayer...
BF3 & Bad Company 1 are my Faves...
yes
That's the case with 90% of all the multiplayer pc game nowadays though. :(
Don't buy MP games if you don't want to do DLC's!
Pros:
* Good looking game
* Good performing game
* Outstanding animation and gunplay
Cons:
* Game modes and gameplay areas are highly restricted. Even the supposedly "big" maps in Conquest and Breakthrough are maybe 200 meters or less.
* Historical anachronisms galore. Black Wehrmacht soldiers but not Japanese oddly enough, gaudy weapons skins right out of CS:GO and out of place weapons like Japanese soldiers witha Panzerfaust.
If a "woke" version of WW2 where Nazis didn't use swastikas and female Marines stormed the beaches of Iwo Jima then by all means have at it.
Here's a video that might help.
Thanks for the quick reply. Much appreciated......
