How to show that I am playing Warcraft 3 Reforged?
Hi folks,

Sorry if there is a better forum in steam to ask this, if that is the case please point me there and I delete this topic.

My question:
Any idea how I can add Warcraft 3 Reforged to my steam list, so that when I play it it keeps showing this in my friends friend-list and they can join my broadcast?

If I simply add Warcraft 3 (it is already in the list that opens automatically) it shows it next to my name, but only until the battlelauncher is fully started, then I am simply ONLINE again...
Is it even possible?

Cheers in advance,
Plake

Diablo 3 did not work for a loooong time with Steam. But Blizzard was pestered on their forums a lot to give it Steam Support and they finally changed something so if you start Diablo 3 over Steam it stays as the game in focus, even if the Battlenet launcher starts.
As far as i know most Battlenet games sadly do not work with Steam and lose the focus when the launcher starts.

You can add it as a non Steam game, but i doubt you can broadcast it.

Steam does not provide broadcasting, etc. support for non-Steam games. The most you can show is "in non-Steam game"

Thanks, didn't know about the broadcasting, but the "adding as non-steam game" is what I am trying to do. When the list of available non-steam games then opens (with the BROWSE button at the bottom), here Warcraft is shown automatically in the list. So when I add that one, it DOES say i am playing that, but as soon as the battle.net launcher (basically their steam/epic/uCrap/Origin app) fully started, it disappears and my steam profile again only says ONLINE (as if I don't play any game)...

Broadcast it to a proper broadcasting site like Twitch.

Not true. I broadcasted non Steam games to friends to show them, games like Diablo 3, Mass Effect 3 and so on.
Works fine.

Just tested with Starsector, friends get the " click here to watch" option and i can invite them to watch also.

Only non Steam games that do not support the Steam overlay do not work.

Thanks for the correction, I mistook both for being "non-broadcastable"

Oh ok, bummer. Thanks for the explanation behind it, saves me from regularly trying again and again, to only get frustrated after a while....

Happy gaming y'all =)
