Busy mouse cursor when navigating tray icon context menu

This thing started happening relatively recently and it's quite annoying. If I right click the Steam icon in tray and move mouse across the context menu, my mouse will always show "busy" circle mouse cursor. Anyone else getting this?

Win10 Pro 1809, fully updated, same with Steam client (release channel, not beta).

Clearing out the web browser stuff did get rid of it but when I restarted steam it immediately came back. I then cleared out the web browser stuff again and it again went away /shrug

Busy icon, extend icon - all icons u want (a hand aswell)

Windows 7 and 8.1

And blinking tasks, when answered or when i wrote smt...the chatwindow is getting highlghted in the taskbar. very annoying, when u have hidden taskbar.

When i log into steam, then friends window is big and not at the spot, where i left it, when shutting down the PC.

Before the friendslist has not been at the same spot@overlay. Some1 changed smt in the cfg i think.

Crap system tbh.

Similar problem here. Every time I close a game the mouse icon become "busy". I need to close Steam to make it normal.

Same issue...mouse icon is "busy" when I close a game. However, if I move the cursor up to the top of the window, it becomes normal again. Do you have an Nvidia card?

Yes, it's been happening to me as well. I'm on Win10 1803 though. It's very annoying.

Everyone saying "i have the same" but no resolve. Pretty sure we all expect answers when somany ask questions but steam dont reply. All the money we give this site and always being ignored when we need answers to problems. NOT GOOD ENOUGH STEAM, WAKE UP AND HELP THE COMMUNITY WHO PAY UR WAGES EVERY MONTH FFS !

Same here. Win10 1809, all hourglass all the time. Reinstalled steam, too. Clearly a bug.

It is annoying - happening to me too. But I saw an old fix for the same issue elsewhere on the Steam discussions - navigate to Steam->Settings-Web Browser and delete all. Your little blue cursor will go away but unfortunately has been coming back. Some issue with the content not loading fully perhaps? At least it's not just my client!

You can "fix" it, by clicking on settings, and then ok. But when you exit the game, the problem appears again.

Looks like a fix for this issue is in the latest patch
