I can buy games in Apple Store and department store using same card.

Same card is also already used to buy three games from Steam in September. But in October, no matter how many times I tried, Steam gave me this error message.

I called my Credit Card company and they say there is nothing wrong with my card and Steam is the one who rejected my card or doesnt want to use my card to complete the transaction.

Now I dont know how to buy Divinity 2 Original Sin, after i replace my VGA card. Steam only accepts Credit Card as payment and they reject my card with excuse that my credit card information has been declined by my credit card company.

Anyone else experience same issue?

Contact the card fraud department and ask. Usually happens when the company rejects verification amounts, the CVV number is wrong or the billing info is not correct..

Call the number on the back of the card and go through the options until you get to the fraud dept.

now my cc company said they cant and wont complete my transaction to steam specifically and cant tell the reason because the operator doesnt know

Well, I knew it was not an issue with Steam.

Sorry. Try purchasing Steam wallet cards at a local store.

I had an A-hole bank who wouldn't authorize Steam purchases until I came in with a COMPLETED transaction receipt. So I used paypal, printed out the receipt, then took it to the bank and spoke very slowly to waste the clerks time. Sometimes banks are stupid.

Yeah. It depends. I made many expensive purchases from very shady places in HK, nothing. Make 1 AmazonUK purchase for the Dr. Who Season 1 bluray(I'm in the US) and bam... Declined...

After hearing same stupid reply "your credit card has no problem but only cant complete its transaction to steam specifically and I dont know what the reason because it is what system tell me", I started to yell and angry. Finally the supervisor called me and explained, and he will open the steam ban for me.

My Credit Card Company has special parameter for Steam, because there were a lot of frauds. Not sure what the parameter is, but I suspect it is because of Steam gave me three game refunds

I used Paypal to buy a bunch of Tomb Raider games on steam recently, so, yes, there is a paypal option, you have to choose paypal at the checkout section
