Steam or Epic
I only have Epic Games Store because of occasional free games, but I saw that they had Jedi Fallen Order on sale, just like Steam(17% off), but they give a free coupon that removes 10 dollars from the price. Should I buy it for 40 dollars on Epic or 50 euros here on Steam? What advantages do I get here?

When something is too good to be true then it usually is. A business don't give free stuff away without a plan on getting it back plus interest later on.

There is no real benefit to get it from Steam unless you want to upload screenshots to Steam that are attached to the game community hub, and you really love trading cards.

Otherwise when buying on Epic you get everything else the Steam version gets.

So ask yourself if paying $10 more is worth it for screenshots to the hub and for trading cards.
Really? You don't get the community support at Epic.Oh and the WORKSHOP...
Steam >>> Epic in features. Epic is a barebone client really, hasn't changed as much for over a year.

Workshop, no. But in reality, nothing stops you from buying a game somewhere else and then using the steam forums to ask questions about said game.

businesses give away free items all the time. the return they get is the good PR and potential new customers. whether they dump a million dollars into advertising or into free products for users, the end goal/result is the same.

Why not just sign up for a couple months of Origin Premiere and play through Fallen Order? Cheaper than both options, plus full access to a rather large catalogue of games.

Yeah that's a good one too.
Atleast better than Epic.

That's normally it how it goes, people be posting from GoG service, Origin, Uplay, etc, and etc... A lot of the times people would get their games from 3rd party retailers such as humble bundle, greenmangaming, and etc, but normally they just mostly sell Steam keys, the most common that not to expect a Steam key would be for Uplay, and Origin games. The odd ones would be Bethesda for few of the games, Rockstar for few of the games, and most recently, and not common to find in most 3rd party retail is Epic for few of the games that on their client, but deal end up being worse, compare to getting it on Epic itself when a sale happen how it has been happening for two of it's sales so far, from what I can tell, due to their rain of coupons.

Pretty much, and sometimes people will ignore these things, nothing is giving out of pure good will, and people keep forgetting these are compaines that haven't changed their end goal which is to make profit, and truth be told, people tones will change as times goes by, may it be hatred or love for either of them.

That's the funny thing, and TBH I want to point this out.
Yea I would suggest someone to get Origin access plan because it's way cheaper, you're more than likely to play a single player game such as a non open world game, less than a month, more like a week at most, but that can vary on the person for time they have, and such, which not only that but you get access to all the other games that's part of the plan, so not only you can play Starwars latest game, but other games as well. But also it's odd that EA said they want to bring this Origin access service on Steam as well later this year, which I wonder how that will work.

If he really wants to use forums for Jedi, he can use the official forums.

https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/bd-p/star-wars-jedi-fallen-order-general-en

Alternately he can use Steam forums as well.

Jedi Fallen Order has no workshop support anyways.

I´m changing more and more over to EPIC. (Free games, very good offers)

Free is great but what they are releasing are mostly minor titles, indies. No big titles. I follow 3 free game threads here on steam and any time something is offered for free, I get a notification from one or all of these threads. Most of what Epic offers for free have already been offered free from steam at some point in the past.

That is false. Very little of what Epic gave for free were free from Steam at any time.

and most of them were unknown indie games.
