How do I create Dynamic Collections based on game Developers or Publishers?
One of the Steam beta updates before the library destroyed all of the categories that I was using for my games, it became a flat list again. Before, I had all of my games categorized by either developer or publisher.

Is it possible to automatically group my games by developer or publisher in my collections?

The reason to do this besides many users wanting this is by highlighting the number of games you have in your library may indeed help the publisher sell more games to you.
Steam has now Developer, Publisher and Franchise listed in the description of each game in library, having the possibility to add them to Dynamic Collections would be nice.

As for same publisher, different name or division, if they are a subsidiary, steam can group them all under the main corporation name. It might take time in that case but that just a tweak to do at a later moment.

Sad to hear that they STILL haven't added this functionality.
I'm currently trying to purge my library of the abominations created by "EA games". This function is needed.

This would help those who follow Publishers/Devs/Franchises in general, because we could see what other games are available on other platforms when we encounter a game we like, let alone a series we want to explore. On top of that, for those Pubs/Devs that stick to certain genres, it'd even help with some of our genre-based filtering, as well. Further, it makes tracking any updates, DLC, news, etc - if we know whether or not we have that game/franchise in our library. I've seen handfuls of people with 2000+ games in their library, I don't know how they manage without this type of search function.

Paradox Games players alone would love this ability.

Ditto for Ubisoft, what a pain it is to manually search.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
