Sale end time

They should really end at midnight, that's the norm for most stores. There was a couple purchases I was planning to make when I had time, I didn't realize the steam sale ends right in the middle of the day.

Most stores don't deal with the volume or traffic.

Basically they do it at a time when they have a full staff on hand to manage the transition.
Also. Midnight somewhere is midday somewhere else.

Steam is a global store and midnight doesn't occur for everyone at the same time. Users had two weeks to get their purchases sorted and the end time was listed clearly on the store page.

That + the rest of the World is STILL BOUND TO THIS STUPID RULE.
Meaning it might well be early in the Morning for you when the sale is over, EVEN when the Day is not completely over in your Region...

Edit: Also if Steam doesn´t want our Money, there are more EPIC stores out there, that gladly take it ;-D

Everyone had 24 hours during the last day. It's not like people in other places got a shorter sale.
