Why not let us use the coupon on a gift???

Christmas time and all and we can't use it when gifting? Why not? Seems like an odd and pretty lousy decision to me.

Because people found a way to game the system in the previous sale so they got multiple coupons by being "clever" on the market place. Steam wants to prevent this this time, so the coupon is locked to your account and can only be created once.

It kind of doesn't. I buy a game, using the coupon and gift the bought game. The question is - why won't Valve allow me to do it, especially during Christmas times. Your answer does not answer why.

I thought there was a 200 item limit for selling on the marketplace. At least that explains my suspicion why Valve always ***** everything up.
