Forgive me it was a very long time ago I joined steam, but I am sure you have to be over 16 to join. correct me if I am wrong. Epic Store handed me a £10 gift voucher this year, money talks and this is a great gift I think plus they are giving free games 12 over the period, again great. Call Epic what you like but I think they got this right. Lets now look at what Steam threw our way. Child like emotes and backgrounds that you have to mostly hand your money to Steam in buying games to earn tokens. Great sales tactic and lots fall for this rubbish, even my daughter finds this to childish to even want. Personally something like Epic did would have been better in my opinion but I am adult and maybe am missing the point and am too tight to keep handing over my money to Steam unless it's my choice.

You are correct about the SUmmer, but there are defuinately winter cards being given for going through the discovery queue each day. 3... which means you've likely missed quite a few cards ....aboyut 24


See this is what happens when you go into foot-stomping rage so easily. You get so busy being angry you fail to notice what's actually infront of you. Also the reason they did away with it previous was because quite simply, you used tokens to buy the things you'd normally get from crafting the badges... Of course now they get to make money from people buying cards for the winter sale badge, and from people spending money for tokens to get the Hopliday event badge.

It's called competition.

If Valve wants to chicken out and continue to count dollar bills, more power to them. The "free" stuff here is worthless anyways unlike Epic who's giving away actual games.

Most of them old, that many peoplewho were interested in them already own by now. You also know that this is not going to be repeated right? Or should I leave that for a surprise so you can declare how greedy epic has gotten because they're not giving you free stuff.

Also lets be frank. Steam has enough free games that they don't need to give away more.

Yeah, that $10 off every game that is $15+ is even tempting me, but... I've seen enough licenses lost from when direct download services get passed around or just outright close up shop. And while Epic is a huge company and all, I still don't trust them to have the lights still on in their store 5-10 years from now.

I feel somewhat the same not trusting their every word, from how they show they're not even able to keep up with not even half of the roadmap they set out at start of 2019, or even sticking to what they set out to do, especially how they handle Paragon, saying PC was dead, and all that jazz, but I'm not expecting much either to begin with from them anyways, nor expect them to do anything for the PC community, I mean after all they kill of their fourm, and expect you to contact game devs, and go to discord for help instead, but hey up to them really, if that how they see us being a toxic, cancer community for having opinions and making reviews on the games, which seem to be a big problem they see it as on Epic.

Years ago and that was only ONE free game VS twelve.

Valve has gotten greedy and will continue to be with the sheep coming to their defense every second. A bunch of "free" digital garbage that requires grinding and cash compared to free games at no cost?
