Half Life: Alyx voice actor replaced. (For no good reason) 🙁
Alyx voice actor recasted, the original not even informed of what was going on at Valve or the project, or Half Life.
No communication from Valve even for their casts.

It’s upsetting because the voice actor is a nice person who had a deep bond with her character. And she sounds so similar to Alyx as she talks in the video, it doesn’t make sense.

She wasn’t given a reason, however, and neither will we, most likely.

Perhaps they wanted something else, or there was a dispute over money. Seems like a way to whip up controversy over nothing. They don't really need a reason.

You clearly didn’t watch the video I posted AT ALL. The voice actor herself speaks in it explaining how SHE WASNT EVEN INFORMED she was off of the project. And she loves the character and had a bond with it.
I hate idiotic forum jockies like you. Quickly reply nonsense to try to become a mod or something.

No. It's nonsense. She doesn't own the character and Valve can take the casting in a new direction any time they want. They don't need a reason. And she's not owed anything. It's not like I haven't seen this sort of manufactured fuss a hundred times in 30 years.

You're only hearing one side and making it an emotional issue. It's not.

You can be alright with having no communication Valve, but a lot more don’t appreciate it or enjoy having no word of anything. But to find out they even treat their cast that way is mind blowing.
And I never said they had to do anything, I strongly implied it’s wrong and messed up.
30 yr old trying to impress people on a forum. That was pretty depressing to find out.
