The relevance is that you like GTA5 and 7D2D and I don't, so they're an example of the fact that we have different tastes, but for some reason you're trying to turn your own tastes regarding the art into a universal judgement about the art and then trying to make hay of that for whatever reason.
What do you mean I have more games to buy? I am literally looking at the same Steam store. If anything I have less things to buy since my Steam account already has more games.
Also, I don't have to buy this art. Why should I even care about the selection of art? I just took a look at these emoticons and stickers and decided I don't care for them and walked away.
Yes, I saw that. No, it doesn't mean you're clearly aware of what a free market is. Anyhow, it was irrelevant to my point so I didn't pick it. Meanwhile, you seem strangely sensitive about politics.
Not buying the art?
You do realize that the main point of Steam is for buying games, right? This art stuff is just the sideshow.
And since you're talking marketing, you should understand that the point of this whole thing, art and quests and all, is to make people pay attention to the sales event.
First, you asked if it's a holiday sale, and so I went with holiday sale.
Second, I don't live under a rock, so like most other people I can tell this is the Christmas sale. It's rather glaringly obvious.
Third, I know you said it looks like some scientist, but I don't recognize it. If you can dig up the picture in question then maybe we can have more to talk about regarding this.
My profile (including my games list) is public and has been public since forever. Please feel free to visit it.
you just have to let your eyes drown in the color of the masterpiece.
They couldn't pay me enough. That is clear with how crap this art is.
Nothing about this in any way resembles a masterpiece.
They are selling the points at $1/100. A customer appreciation award is given for free. It is only possible to obtain a small % of the items through the free quest. Therefore the others must be purchased and are being sold.
I don't have to buy it though. I might pick up a background or two since I like those. Haven't decided yet. If I don't pick up backgrounds then all of my tokens will just go to badge levels.
Still though, I'm surprised you actually liked the pig sale art. I thought that was worse than the stuff this event. I guess YMMV is in force as usual.

So, no actual link, I take it?
