wait... Origin has game forums:riddler: been on there for years and they're nowhere to be found on my client...:-)
It's was never added on the client, their EA forum, you had to go to EA site to find it, or google it.

at one point reporting bugs was getting people banned and game access locked, granted this was a long time ago, so I don't know what changed, but the fact that pissing someone off was enough to get game access revoked is enough to never use it for me.
Can you show me example of such? Because I never heard such of case, unless they did something to break the terms, you would have to do something really bad to piss someone that much to do something as such, to act out beyond the terms and agreement to an emotional level.

If this is about someone abusing a bug in the system, to ruin others gameplay, or trying to cheat the leaderboard, and etc, then yea it's pretty clear you would get ban for such an act as that.

vac for instance had a period of time it was banning people for listening to music. I honestly hate auto systems because everyone who isn't tech literate thinks they are flawless and never have false positives, so it can turn into a nightmare if you trip something.
I need call this part out, because I know you don't get banned for listening to music, unless you're hooking something into the game which then cause it to trigger, also btw hotkeys don't count when changing songs on a 3rd party app... VAC is a automated system, which only knows how to trigger if it detects using known cheats, which anything that hooks into the game itself, and does changes to the game data, or even the game files may trigger the system it was made to do, now if it ever made an error VAC does revert itself as well for those that were affected by the false positive, and this is not common btw.

Its been years and info gets scrubbed, if I had to say something it was one of the battlefield games, a quick search brings up 2 results from wiki where a rude, not even horrible, comment resulted in a 72 hour ban, along with someone who was teabagging. I know there were quite a few more then these two accounts, especially at the time it was happening.

as for the music one, that was on a list of publicly acknowledged vacs false positives, though im no longer able to find the known false positive list, only the people who have been unbanned for false positives, and people claiming vac is infallible which just pisses me off more.

So they broke rules, basically trolling, and inappropriate behaviour, which got them reported, and a temp ban, I assume you were talking about something beyond that, something that's not normal that uncalled for, and doesn't seem right. Also I need to point since this is related to battlefield, which I can either assume was ban across it all temp, or were banned temp from a server, which most BF have private servers hosting as well. I can recall of events such as people getting banned for backtalking to server's mod / owner, or even doing too well in the game, or etc, and yes these were private servers.

Some people blame music player causing them Vac ban, which wasn't even the case. One example using SLAM, while others called him out.

Another blame Photoshop, yea go fig.

So get the picure, when there has been a false positive ban, they do revert them, but the issue here is that it's so uncommon, it's hard to find much about it, as that how uncommon it is, Vac bans are so common it happens daily, and when wave bans happens the Van sub forum get flooded with rage of people that get upset getting banned, but really they got caught with their pants down.

I don't think VAC is the best system, nor the most effective, but at least it does what it suppose to do, and keeps the people that makes those cheats at a guessing game for each version they have to keep pushing out for their mods, and cheats, it's just a never ending battle.
