Steam client not minimizing to half screen when snapped next to another application
Hello,

I am attempting to reach out once again for some help on an issue of mine.

After recent updates(new steam update and windows 1803) I've noticed that when I "snap" steam to half screen it will not go fully to half screen. If I have another app that I have "snapped" to the other half of the same screen steam will still be larger and overlap the other window. Can some one please assist me. I have already re installed steam, checked windows performance settings, and manually tried to move steam with the adjust arrows and it will not fully go to half the screen(it seems like steam refuses to go any smaller but not even to half screen size). This is happening on every PC I have steam installed on so I know it's not specific to just my main gaming PC. I have been on a remote session with Microsoft and had them roll back to a previous build(since I was on 1803) to which didn't fix the issue.

WHAT WE FOUND WAS THAT ON ANY MONITOR SMALLER THAN the 27" I HAVE, THE STEAM APP WILL NOT ALLOW THE USER TO MINIMIZE THE APP PAST A CERTAIN POINT. WHEN THE APP IS UP AND IS "SNAPPED" TO HALF THE SCREEN THE APP WILL NOT FULLY MINIMIZE TO HALF THE SCREEN. WE TESTED THIS ON TWO 23" MONITORS, ONE 24" MONITOR, AND ONE 27" MONITOR ALL BY THEMSELVES, ONE AT A TIME. THE ONLY ONE THAT ACTUALLY DID ALLOW THE TRUE HALF SCREEN SPLIT WAS THE 27".

I do believe this to be a steam problem and would truly like some help with this. I have more than one friend I've talked to that is having this same issue with the minimizing to half the screen.

PLEASE HELP!

Same issue with me. I could have sworn that steam used to snap to half screen before, but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

Thank god I'm not the only one. Even after the update today mine is still having this problem. I don't understand why no one is willing to help me at steam support and everywhere I look this problem only is happening to people who are using the beta version. I even tried using a larger 24" secand monitor and still nothing. I've tried on 27" and even TVs and all have the same issue at 1080p. So frustrating...

Nothing I've seen. It's crazy how long this bug/issue has been around with no fix.

ive been having an issue with my steam where its taking priority over other windows and even my open tabs and my windows, i cant get things to overlap it and its ontop of everything and the only way to move it is to minimize the steam window, I cant have lets say google on top of the steam window at all. Not even when i press my windows key will anything come up over top of it when its not minimized
