Golden animated backgrounds are awesome but...

I've got the 2019 Winter animated backgroud and it is valid through 02/24/2020. That is a good amount. Would be cool if it were valid for a longer time.

But this new one? I will get to use it for 1 month only. It's a lot of money for just one month.

I don't agree with your comparison. The issue here is that the first golden profile is available for 3 months. The new one is available for just 1 month. It's silly.

You might want to calculate again. Let me help you:
- Winter profile: goes from end of december to end of february
- Lunar profile: goes from end of january to end of march

Does that help you see the error in your thinking?

From 02/24/2020 'till March 27th is 32 days. That's basically a month.

You guys may now math, but you don't know english.

You may want to use it from the end of february, you said in your previous post that it's available for one month, which is incorrect. You also said that the other profile is available for 3 months, which also is incorrect.

You could always go halfway and use both profiles for 1,5 month.

You could get a golden profile yourself as well instead of inhabit the 'Steam Discussions' looking to find a way to do some catharsis out of your envy. Not to mention the "12.3 hours past 2 weeks". I mean... Turn on the TV, go out for a walk, I don't know. Whatever helps you.

I'm not interested in a golden profile, I find it a waste of tokens. I'm also not envious, wouldn't know why I should or would be. I do other things, like going for a run or swim or spending time with the family, it's why I only have 12.3 hours in the past 2 weeks. I like to browse the forums every now and then.

Not sure what all that has to do with the topic, though. Seems you just want to deflect from being incorrect in what you said. It's ok, it happens to the best of people. Just do both profiles for about 1,5 month, they then have equal timeframes.

If you "buy" it now, it's good til March 27...period...that's 2 months.

And your attack on his play time, etc. is clearly uncalled for and not applicable at all. Where the hell did that even come from?

I guess you must be one of the few persons that can answer me then. Due to the phrasing for the description of these new items ("Upgrade your profile .." and "Available for use until X.."), I was under the impression that we were granted a consumable that was time limited but the actual background would not necessarly be time limited after "upgrading" our accounts.

Could you please confirm of deny this ? Thanks.

Sure. It is a consumable. You can enable it or disable it by going on your inventory and pressing the button on it. But, no, whether you enable it or not, it will expire in said date.

It was 2 months if you get early enough. From the start of the winter sales will expire on 2/25/2020 for those who need it written the otherway thats 25th of Feb 2020
