I sent a trade offer to my other account and the item ended up on a completly other account
I where talking to a guy about tradeing my knife with him. He wanted me to send a trade offer with the knife to my smurf so he could see that my knife where not on cooldown. (I thought this sounded wierd but i just thought nothing could happen if i send the offer to my smurf and i have been away from csgo trading for a long time and i just thought it was some new stuff) when i where going to send the offer to my smurf i saw clearly that it was my smurf i where going to send it to because i went in to my friends list and clicked send offer to my smurf (i even have a tag and a nickname on my smurf that says smurf. And when i sent the offer it sent the offer to different account with the same name and the same profile picture and then the knife where gone. i really dont understand how this could have worked. it must be some bug in steam that like hackers can exploit or something.

You did. Argue that isn’t the case all you wish, but it’s quite clear to anyone who sees this situation constantly repeat itself that you have. Follow that advice.

Dude, don't be playing man...This is not a forum for bs.
If it wasn't you, then deauthorize all accounts connected with yours, change your password, put on 2 factor authentication and stop doing shady stuff or going on sites and logging in with your credentials.

You using stuff that would bypass anything related to steam???
Dude, stop messing around, block stuff in your firewall and never let anything connect to your steam account. Don't play with fire and expect not to be burnt.

Follow the steps above.

1-click login is there for a reason.

Log into the official Steam page first.

Go to shady skin or FREE whatever site.

Click login.

It should let you use the 1-click login option since you are already logged into Steam on that browser. That is what the 1-click login was made for.

If no 1-click login and it asks for ALL your account info including guard codes (2x usually), phishing login. The first time it asks is when the hijacker takes it and uses it to have their own open session cookie.

thanks everyone for the answers, now i relize how this happened. im so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid
It's not like Steam has been blasting posts and messages and emails for the past several years telling you not to click on ANY LINKS from anyone.

Not like they constantly teach you not to go to bogus websites.

It's clearly not like this scam is been going on for years now and you always decided to ignore it.

Right? RIGHT??
