Big Picture Mode Images
So since the Library overhaul the control you have over the images of your non-steam games is great, but in big picture mode, the old images are still used? I used to set these in the grid view (I think). But where can I set these now?

Ever figure this out? im looking for the same thing. Wont roll forward until i know. Disgusted I have to source a second set of art, and now set art twice - but valve probably thought F the people that have non steam games, we'll make it even less appealing to source games anywhere but from us.

Manage shortcut->Change Icon.
AppID_header images (BPM grid icons) are 460x215.

Yes so this works, it's just too bad it also changes the smaller square shaped icon, derived from the windows shortcut to a small version of this wider image. But I haven't found any solutions that preserves those and only edits the big picture images.

agh. figures. so the small square icon becomes a small grid/rectangle?

not ideal - but if hands were forced i guess...

wonder if theyre overhauling BPM. guess being valve we wont know till they drop it on our head and are like oh hey surprise.

It's really sad to see the client is sort of a unfinished bit off more than you can chew state with BPM using the old icons and steam actually on something that looks more like a DVD cover and all the games on steam that have not updated to the new format. I like the new look but its going to be awhile possibly never before it has a seamless console like style again, like we had last year.:steamfacepalm:

I don't realize a major difference between that and the old category system other than it being possibly more graphically pleasing. I did buy an android TV box though so I've removed ice hud and a lot of retro console games from steam and doing less non steam stuff inside of steam now and just running those from the start menu or their launcher instead.

Edit: Actually the new dynamic collection thing is a bit quicker because there are more ways to get to it than the old drop down confusing menus.

Dynamic Collections?

What good does that do for me? Any Filters I use, completely removes
any of my Dynamic Collections from View...

So in the end result, my Dynamic Collections are indeed useless...
Which I had even before the Update, & they had worked perfectly fine,
I had known this Change would screw that up somehow before the Update,
but as usual, someone has decided to force an Update upon us, did not care
if we liked, or did not like the Change, & does it anyways, & does not care
how we feel about it, the Update utterly sux, :(

Half the time it takes me like 5mins to find what i'm looking for, other times
I just give up looking, & once in a while I find things in a few seconds...

I get a mixed bag with my Experience...
