Steam Optimization
In the past couple of day's i've noticed that steam has become more, and more less easier to navigate. It seems like it takes forever to load up and has been taking up a lot of CPU lately so much so that I have to logout so that it doesn't take to much up. Just today I crashed 3 times from trying to open a game, uninstall a game, and legit looking at the autumn sale on steam. Has anyone else had these problems or similair?

Try this, worked for me..
Steam top left>Settings>interface
Disable GPU accelerated rendering in web view

Steam > settings > Library on the right >Display size for library user interface elements=small
then tick low bandwidth mode
and tick low performance mode.
ok it.

Just literally everyone using the platform since the library UI "upgrade".

I did all this but can't restart PUBG has been updating for probably the last 1 month, IT says stopping PUBG update but I know that would take forever and if i try to uninstall it it crashes. Got myself stuck in a loophole here

Why in the world would you turn off GPU acceleration if you're already dealing with high CPU usage?

gpu acceleration in web views is prone to breaking the steam overlay when in game. usually the web browser will simply turn black. it can affect other windows too such as the friends list etc. valve haven't fixed it since it was first noticed months ago.

That's a shame, because if you turn that off Steam uses additional memory and scrolling is choppy. I don't think it's a problem with the Steam client itself, those sorts of things are usually driver problems.

GPU accelerated rendering should be kept on for anyone not having compatibility problems. It will hurt your overall performance if you turn it off, even on my Ryzen R9 3900x system. CPU load goes from 0.0 - 0.1% to 0.5%

most likely is. gpu acceleration in firefox/chrome still causes the nvidia driver to reset itself. and thats been going on for years now.

Try the Steam commandline options I discussed earlier:

They're in the feedback thread:

-cef-winxp (I think) and --no-shared-textures
