How long offline mode lasts for?
Hello,

Does anyone knows how long offline modes last for? 2 weeks? 2 years?

Thank you :)

Depends if a game has Denuvo or 3rd party DRM on it.

if a game has Steam DRM on it, and only Steam DRM with no Denuvo or any other 3rd party DRM, then it can last indefinetly, provided that you didn't get online at any point and there ends up being a patch ready for any game you have installed, then at that point Steam will not allow you to play that game till you get online again and update the game.

if it has Denvuo on it, it can be at any random time between 1 day to 12 weeks before it will require you to go into online mode.
Thank you for that :)

Now if I store my steam install on a different drive (like drive D:) and I do a reinstall of windows, I would lose offline mode right?

Thank you :)

With Steam, until the offline token stored on your machine isn't deleted.

Most AAA games these days are protected with additional DRM such as Denuvo which has slightly different offline profile to Steams.

With regards to Denuvo, the lowest I've ever heard of is two weeks, although I am yet to see any real evidence of this. I do have evidence of a game that doesn't have an expiration though.

This explains the gist of it though.

Requires an online connection at the first launch of a game, after a game update or some Windows updates, when changing specific hardware, or the built-in expiration (if used) has passed.

You would need to ask Capcom directly. It could be indefinitely if they chose to implement it it that way. The lowest I've ever heard of is two weeks although I am yet to see any evidence of this. I do have evidence of a game that doesn't have an expiration though.
