Steam library folder keeps disappearing.
My installed Steam games go into a folder on my D:Drive as there is never never nough room on my main SSD C:Drive ,all was well until recently the Steam folder has randomly been disappearing. taking all my games with it.
All that happens when i click a game icon on the desktop is a window opens asking me to download the game again.First time it happened i assumed i just needed to locate the files ans get steam to check the game cache but the whole was gone and the drive was showing as being almost empty.
All the other folders and contents of the drive have thus far remained untouched and accesible and the drive is showing no negative SMART information so i can only assume the issue is caused by some weird bug in the Steam software.
Anyone encountered this problem if so how did you solve it?

Move Steam & the games to D: Have Steam in, let's say, D:\Steam and the games in D:\Steam\SteamApps. Solves tons of hassle.

I have a similar issue where everytime I log out my steam and sign in again my second SSD library folder keeps disappearing, so I have to go to steam storage settings and add that SSD drive into the steam library everytime so I can play the games that are on that drive, otherwise it says I have to download those games again.
Is this a bug or is there a way to save that drive alongside my main steam library storage drive? :steamsad: it's frustrating

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
