FPS Games with Map Editor?

Are there no decent new/newish FPS games with either in-game map editors or downloadable mapping tools? I so miss the days of tinkering with making maps like back in the good old days of Call of Duty 4. Wish I could go back in time and just stay in those years.

These days it depends if Devs want to support modding, or not by making a dev kit / map editor.

For FPS games, not really, but for other kinds of games, yes, but I can't point to which ones as I haven't been following them lately so I don't know what the latest one that allows mods, or custom maps.

I use to like FC up until 3, then they opted to go backwards and only support 2 player Co-Op and haven't touched the series since.

I guess what I was really hoping for was more popular games that were heavy on the MP side versus Co-Op to have map editing. Like if CoD would get back into it, or Player Unknown, Battlefield etc etc...

The Doom reboot has its snap map system but i'm not sure if you can use the maps you make in it for multiplayer.

As for your example style of games Fortnite has been advertising adding in something along those lines but I don't think it will be available for the full games and may just be a sandbox for a handful of players to mess around in.
