Can't seem to buy anything
I've now tried to purchase two games and it lets me add to cart, then when I go to click "Purchase for myself", it doesn't proceed beyond that. I've tried logging in and out, rebooting... Still nothing.

I'd kind of like to be able to actually purchase something

you have to cancel the processing purchase first, once doing so funds will be released back to the payment card issued (the funds aren't even initially removed from the card, the exact length varries from card to card but for usually at least 24 hours it is in a "posted" state which means while the charge is showing on your card, your bank has yet to actually deduct it, this is a security measure to protect against fraudulent online purchases, so any cancel or refund within that "posted" phase will be instant as the funds were never removed yet as far as the bank is concerned)..

once you cancel the pending purchase, do the steps

omg same thing is happening to me. i thought it was just my computer or internet acting up. i even tried to go through support but there are no options for what is happening

Same here, issued a ticket and support said that I should enter in contact with the payment company... All of them?! It's crazy... trying to spend money but looks like steam don't want my money :P

i have money in my wallet that i was wanting to use up. so them saying that was completely stupid cause it has absolutely nothing to do with the payment company. especially if it doesnt let you proceed past the "purchase for self" or "as a gift" option

I was having the same issue with the store, and came here to see if it was a global issue. I even tried logging in from a browser to make my purchase, and had the same issue there as well.

Getting the same error, through it was just myself as well. Can't add funds, payment methods or anything.

Having the same problem. Paypal wouldn't work, kept pressing it, it would buffer then say an error. Tried with mastercard and it kinda went through and it's in my library now but says I haven't purchased it. Still in the process of verifying the purchase

The same problem and now Steam has blocked my purchases for repeated attempts to pay for the purchase.

My fiance, his brother, and myself are all having this issue as well. Thought it might have been an internet issue or something with his brother's computer, but then we tested and confirmed it doesn't work for us either (We're wired to the router and he's on wifi)
