Can I get badges with family share games?

I'm family sharing with my girlfriend and I know I don't get free card drops but will I be able to just buy the cards for the games I play from her account so I can craft badges?

Yes, you can craft badges for any game. You don't need to own it or share it or anything.

It works the same was as any other badge. Once you collect all the cards, you go to your badges page and craft the badge, and then you'll see it on your profile with the rest.

Profile>badges>you will the cards in sets like 4 of 8 ....3 ot 9 etc etc from all games
It will show how many card drops left as in what remains in the game when playing.
Those that have no cards drops from playing click on one of them
Now look below them see who ( friends) has the remaining cards to trade with you or you can simple buy the missing cards or visit the trade forum.

When you have the entire pack 8 of 8 lets say
I just go back to my profile then click on badges again now you will see> Ready>>Craft Badge
It collects all those cards and kind of spins them around nice effects then your new badge is made.
Once you reach the amount of XP level up you will get another showcase.

I understand all of this but my question was in reference to games I don't own, played via Steam Family Share. Will I be able to craft badges for those games.

For example, under badges I see all the games I paid for badge progress. When I play a game I didn't pay for via Steam Family will I be able to craft badges for those games

Sorry if this is simple as hell, holidays have me burnt out lol

You can craft badges even if you don't the game. You just have to buy the cards on the community market.

Yes, you do it just like any other badge. You just need to get the cards first.
