Is it poor under normal Windows use, or gaming use?

Your spec don't include your GPU, for example, so for all we know you're using the iGPU (display is connected to your motherboard's rear I/O instead of the graphics card on the expansion slot level) and you're wondering why the game performance is poor.

Because if it occurs outside gaming, then do what Jaunitta says. Check what's hogging your resources, consider scanning your computer if it "suddenly got slower."

Some mo boards have a bypass on startup ought afore happen..Check all of your fans and double check the GPU is indeed the one you are using.
