Hawaii Steam users change your download repository location for massive speed boost.

Hi all,

If you are reading this then you are probably Kamaina like me, and know all too well how horrible every service is for hawaii citizens.

Well there is some good news.

Look in your download tab, and change your repository from Honolulu to LA, Huston, Or pretty much any big city on the west cost and watch your download rate climb!

I am on a Satellite connection (sort of like DirectTV) my download rates from Oahu where only 2.2MBS on a good day, but most of the time it stayed around 1.5.

Well after changing the repository not only am I downloading at a solid 3.5Mbs but my download estimate calculator works!! (before it was estimating at 0.25mbs before download).

We in hawaii got the short end of the stick again! Hawaii services are the worst in the USA when it comes to anything telecom.

I hope Valve changes their hawaii ISP, thease guys are clearly not cutting the mustard, especially if I am getting better d-load rates from the mid-USA!

TLDR; Long story short, Improve your download bitrate by simply choosing pretty much anywhere except Hawaii!
