It was removed because of the DRM was causing issues, to the point people couldn't even play their game anymore. EA isn't bothering to fix it for those people to get them a working product.

You can buy it from EA Origin though, which is where the DRM is tied to.

it has been gone from Steam for some years though.

EA started pulling games from Steam when they launched Origin.

The DRM thing is a new problem, the game was removed to buy nearly 2 years ago because the license for Steam expired and EA had no interest in extending it.

In passing, it's a fascinating game but when I played it, it had all sorts of game wrecking bugs. Honestly I would think twice about buying it.

Thats standard procedure so that owners of the game can still access any advice and solutions from the community.

Purchase a key from a 3rd party website if you really want it on Steam.
Otherwise Origin is about to make a new customer and no body should wish for that.

Eh, I wouldn't bother...unless I'm the only one, the damn game doesn't even work on Steam. If you really want the game, just suck it up and get it on Origin...say what you want about EA, but Origin is a pretty decent service.

What i'm more curious is why the first game American McGee's Alice has disappeared from just about every where. that's the one I want to play.
