Why wont steam let me have special characters in my name?

I changed my name to 🎄Epic🎄 but it got changed back without me doing it. Ive also had the name ɔᴉdƎ but that was also changed back.

and assuming the accountdata link is from oldest to newest thats also all me

Then, someone has been on your PC.

If it was removed by support, it would be reverted back to your SteamID#.

When Valve reverts it, it is reset to the SteamID#.

The only other way for it to change at all is user interaction. Whether his or another persons doing. Rule out the former and you're left with the latter.

Wow, i would have never guessed. Especially since my name only contains normal everyday alphabet letters. Thanks for clearing that up.
