They stay in your library just greyed out.
Put them into categories.
The only time they dissapear is if your using a USB drive.
Steam games appear uninstalled

Because users complained. Instead of giving us an option, Valve changed it to what it is now.
Many hundreds of threads on this.
F2P games you spent money on (on Steam) should stay in your library even when uninstalling them.
I've tried to put F2P games in a category, but after deinstall, they disappear anyway. The whole category just disappears!
All games that I had to buy stay in my library when deinstalled - but not the games that are F2P...even if I spent money for MTX.
Valve - how am I supposed to keep track of all those F2P games?
I don't get why anyone would change that - there's also an option to hide games in library.
All licenses... https://store.steampowered.com/account/licenses/

I want my F2P games to stay in my library, even if they are not installed.
Where can I find those links outside of the discussion?
I can't understand why they make games disappear where I spent money...
Why isn't there just a simple option to hide games in the library for people who don't like it?
Did Valve react to this issue at all some time? :(
Perhaps they give an option in the fiture.
You can access your licenses through the client. Top right, click on your displayname, then "Account Details" and then "View licenses and product activations".
Unfortunately those licenses cannot be sorted by name or so...the list is very confusing and not very helpful when you search for a specific title.
