[Fixed in beta client 27-03-2019] Steam video scaling issue

When i watch videos or streaming on steam, there seems to be a scaling issue that happend some patches ago.

When i go fullscreen on videos i can only see top left corner like this

I can get fullscreen image for 1 frame, if i uncheck the "enable gpu accelerated rendering in web views". The rest is played in the top left corner.

I can get normal viewing if i downscale the layout of windows, which makes everything else a mess.
So that indicates there is a scaling issue with steam

There are many of us that have repeatedly reported this issue. So far no response from Valve that I've seen. The only known fix is to set Win DPI scaling to 100% or disable "Scale Text and Icons.." in Steam settings. Not really viable options if using a 4k monitor...

You need to enable hardware acceleration
open the Steam client not web browser to access Steam Settings
Steam>settings>interface> enable hardware video decoding ( requires restart)
exit Steam restart dont just close it

That is enabled. Still same problem. Its a 4k screen issue.

Nope - does not fix the problem. Have tried all options in Beta and Stable - and the only things that work are to set Win DPI scaling to 100% or disable "Scale Text and Icons.." in Steam settings.

Crazy that the vast majority of Steam games do support 4k monitors - but Steam has had issues for a long time handling it - and seems to be getting worse.

Gah... please fix this! And when did it brake? I'm pretty sure I was able to watch videos in fullscreen some weeks ago.

Bumping this, in the hope steam takes notice. Impossible to watch streams on steam or any other video on a 4k screen.

Same issue here on a 32" 4K screen with 125% scaling in Windows.

Dear Steam,

If I can't watch the preview videos fullscreen then I can't be persuaded to give you money for games I'll never play.

P.S. Confirmed that it's an issue with 4K resolution scaling that started a month or two back.
