How does steam determine if you've "completed" a game.
Hello!

Steam gives you a game completion percentage. What I'm interested in, is how steam determines whether you've completed a game?

The reason I ask is that mods disable achievements in Fallout 4. Now, if steam looks at specific achievements to see if you've completed a game, I can never mark Fallout 4 as "complete" if I mod it.

This is a key factor determining if I want to mod Fallout 4 :).

If anyone knows I would appreciate an answer...googling did not give an answer.

Cheers.

100% is for completing all achievements in the game.

There are other mods that turn on achievements again even when you are modding.

Thank you! My bad, there was this part in my steam profile "Avg. Game Completion Rate". At first glance I thought it meant what percentage of my games have I finished, as in played through.

Turns out it is not that at all, I should read more thoroughly :). It is just avg amount of achievements.
