But if the Game can USE the other DirectX, you can switch via Ini MOSTLY. Tell me games, you usually play.
This means that on Windows 7 it will use DX11.
My PC runs silky smooth with DX10
No. It's the same with Recommended System Specs. You don't need to run Ultra, just turn lower.
I see that you don't bother to tell me which games you play so...

My Nvidia is a DX 11 capable card. I can play games using DX 11 in Windows 7. I thought I made that pretty clear.
My PREFERENCE is to play games using DX 10, which is why my PREFERENCE is to play them on Vista
Tell me your Games and I will explain, how to play them in DX10 simple as that. IDK What you don't want to understand about that. THESE GAMES can still be played on DX10, no matter the OS...
Origin has a Light client that allows for Vista users to download and play existing games.
It would not take too much effort for Steam to do the same
Why do you dodge my question? You don't want to try something to fix it yourself. You want Steam to listen to a minority and fix it FOR them.
you can get a Windows 7 machine to run games with DX 10, usually takes a few configuration tweaks at most..
if games are performing worse on a Windows 7 Machine, it is most likely how you have it configured wrong.. Windows Vista has HIGHER OS system requirements than Windows 7 does (caused alot of backlash when Vista launched btw, there was no reason for Vista to eat up that much resources, but they had to go with the shiny hud)
English comprehension is a very important skill.
Origin has a light version that allows for Vista uers to access, download and play games that are already in the library.
You can not access the Origin store but you can still access existing games.
It would be good if Steam did the same kind of thing...
Will Steam do the same ??
You already have a thread
Ikr. I tried to help him to make it work on Win 7 atleast. There are multiple ways. Most of the time, you can choose in on the Options Menu, heck even Ini's offer that option. Aslong as they are compatible with Dx10, it can be used. Heck I can use Dx7 on M&B Warband AND Dx9 on Windows 10. Several Games are like that. I think OP just doesn't want to leave his OS.
