How to send steam gift cards abroad?

i tried to send my friend a game as a gift
who lives in brazil (i live in india)

he did recieve the gift but wasnt able to redeem it, prolly bc of the currency

how can i buy him a game in his currency, without changing my store location with sm vpn shiz

Not possible. Best option is to send him a digital Steam Wallet card (which will convert to his own currency) so he can buy it himself

Buy a digital gift card instead https://store.steampowered.com/digitalgiftcards/ and it'll covert into your friends local currency. These are unrestricted too.

Always seems a bit long winded when you have no idea how much the game is ON their store. Buying a game on a store in Argentina could be 324.99 peso, so they send a giftcard to their friend for 325 peso.

But their friend finds that amount converted is is only 10 euro. Which isn't enough. It's no-where NEAR enough, as the game is 31 euro! it's not even a third of the cost of the game.
