Steam's security is not the problem.

Your security is the issue here.

Stop giving your account details away.

1) Phishing.

2) Malware

3) Social engineering.

4) Compromised E-mail account.

If someone managed to change the password of your steam account, the one also had access to your e-mail account which is less steam's fault, but yours.

Your security is compromised.

Scan your PC for malware.

A RAT (Remote Access Trojan) can easily cause some confusion.

Download and use malwarebytes and do a full scan.

MWB is DIRECTLY for rooting out malware.

Well, obviously your excessive hubris in your own security may be the problem here.

As i said, MWB targets malware in general.

Including but not limited to root-kits and trojans known to steal your stuff.

Your AV software may not be competent enough for that.

i am not so smart with pc so i expect programs like antivirus & steam to make it more secure

cause as i said, i have Avast & SpyBot, rest is out of my league, i am not so smart to fight hackers not even newbie hackers

also 2bad i have forgotten details from last week

what is MWB? MalwareBytes?

Steam is neither an AV nor an anti-malware software, it doesn't protect your computer.

Bad news: An AV isn't the 100% security tool you wish it to he. An AV is supplementary at Best. Your own vigilance is the most important security tool. When you driving a car, you have to be careful, theres no tool to lift this responsibility from you. Same goes for the internet. You have to always watch out. That, or have someone you trust set a programs whitelist on your computer. Won't help against phishing though.

Tools aren't the answer, your own vigilance is!
