You can try viewing your friend's Steam profile via browser if there profile is listed as public to double check whether you've been blocked or not.
Let's assume we're friends at this point and then you've blocked me so I can't see what you're playing but our friends of friends can still track you down.
All I have to do is to check if your Steam profile is public
https://steamcommunity.com/id/DarkKyugara
and copy paste that steam profile url to my web browser to appear accountless and see what's your status (the game you're playing)
I have, let's say 5 friends, playing CS:GO right now, ok? When I open my friendlist I see only one friend playing CS:GO and it says +4 friends playing.
I'm not talking about friends blocking or changing status, I'm talking about compression... Instead of showing all 5 friends playing, it shows only one and +4, I can't see which are those friends but this one, all other 4 doesn't appear in my friendlist, not because of block, but because it's compressed.
Got it?
It's like compressed, instead of showing to me all 5 friends playing, it's just show one and a +4 right below.
