Well they said " it will not available on Steam "at launch"
Which translates to me as " we will look how good the sales are on our shop and if it seems not enough people will buy the game we will bring it to Steam".

Just like Microsoft does it with its Windows 10 Store. Games come out there exclusively, nobody buys them and then they come to Steam a few months later.

Might not arrive on Steam, so don't get your hopes up. Hell, I read an article a month or so ago about Bethesda "unsure" about putting their future games on Steam as well.

No it really won't we hear this said every time another major company decides they don't want to play by Steams rules and walk away from the store but the reality is Steam doesn't need any of them and makes plenty without them.

Wich is a shame imo, because it slightly kills off whats so good about PC open for all, and not just one store. If thats the only reason why certain people wont buy a product.

Or it could be they're looking to capitalize on the sweet sweet early buy rush on their own site and then when the sales figures drop past the peak they'll open it up on steam.

Just like Microsoft does it with its Windows 10 Store. Games come out there exclusively, nobody buys them and then they come to Steam a few months later.
Paid exclusivity.

Could also be them wanting to push the whole paid mods system in a way Steam won't allow.

They already have the creation club implemented in Fallout 4 and Skyrim SE (thank god you can mod them out :fhappy: )
